what is echowood collective?

we’re an artist-led creative studio that specializes in storytelling from multiple disciplinary angles. learn more in our about page.

are your artists real people?

yes. there’s humans running this joint and there’s humans creating within it. our artists go by carefully chosen artist aliases for the sake of personal privacy, which is important to us. It’s a choice that allows ample space to let the collective body of work speak for itself.

alberelli (very human) is an exception, and is truly our most public-facing team member. you’ll see her a lot in what we do.

do you use ai in your creative work?

no. every original piece we make for you is hand crafted by humans, literally starting with simple conversation and pencil on paper. no ai generated images, music, edits, scripts, nothin. we believe using ai to create art in general is lowkey disrespectful.

That said, we do use Claude for operational work: contracts, workflow systems, and other behind-the-scenes technical stuff that keeps a small studio running. It helps us stay organized so we can spend more time focusing on craft.

how long does a typical project take?

Depends on what we’re making:

• Brand collaborations: 4+ weeks
• Short films: 4+ weeks
• World-building projects: 3-6+ months

all timelines are flexible and built around your individual needs. we’ll map it out in the proposal.

what’s pricing like?

each project is different, but generally speaking:

• brand collaborations start around $5k
• short films start around $8k
• world building is typically long term and more loosely calculated over time, with expected ranges of $15k+

we do require a deposit for all projects first thing, but beyond that, we offer flexible payment plans and an 8% discount if you pay in full up front.

do you work remotely or do we need to be in the same place?

We’re based in the Washington, DC area, but we work everywhere.
Pre-production and post-production happen remotely.
If your project requires on-location anything, we travel to you.

can i see examples of your work?

yes, you can visit our archive here. we’re also on youtube and instagram if you want to follow our projects over there.

What if I just have a vague idea for a project and need help figuring it out?

that’s a good place to start. send us an email saying hi and we can schedule a free 30 minute discovery call to talk through your vision, goals, and what’s possible:

How involved will I need to be during the project?

As much or as little as you want. we thoroughly map our processes between team members and provide regular check-ins to clients via our bloom.io client portal, so you’re never in the dark.

do i own the final work when it’s done?

Yes. You get full usage rights to everything we create for you, and You can use it however you want for your business.

We retain the right to feature the work in our portfolio and share it on our channels (with credit to you). Raw files and working materials aren’t included unless we agree otherwise upfront.

can i license your existing work?

Yes! We have a growing catalog of original music and other creative assets available for licensing. If you hear something in our portfolio that fits your project, or if you’re looking for original music without commissioning a full score, we got you. usage rights, licensing terms, and pricing based on your needs are open for discussion.
